Monday 4/4/11

Today was a crazy day. The kids were out of school for a teacher work day and had a dentist appointment. It’s suffice to say that I didn’t get in any exercise at all today. L Shame on me. This weekend wasn’t the best where eating was concerned. I do well all week. I track my food. I stay on plan and then I ruin it with the weekend. I don’t track anything and I’m certain that I didn’t stay on target. One unhealthy way that I’ve been trying to manage this is if I know I’m going to have something that I shouldn’t or I know I’m going to dinner, I won’t eat a meal during the day. Naughty. Naughty. I think what it boils down to is that I’m going to have to take more control and have more will power. I also didn’t weigh in today, because I had the kids so I couldn’t attend the meeting. I really think the meetings help me, so I’m planning on going to Wednesday’s meeting. I’ll update then with my results. I still need to get a “before” picture taken, because I don’t intend to stay in my current body! With all the exercise I did last week, I think I should be down…but I don’t feel like it.

  1. Definitely get out of the habit of "banking" your daily calories for a meal out. That's so bad for you to do. Just keep in mind that it's okay to splurge every so often and that it's completely normal!

  2. I don't bank my daily calories. Normally, I fall under the points that I can have for the day... I do end up using some of my weeklies from time to time, but never so much that I go into my activity points. However, once the week starts new for me, all the points that I still can use, go away. I can't bank those. It's a fresh start.

  3. I meant banking them in a day for a big meal at the end of it, like eating out. So instead of eating lunch, saving those points for a big dinner. Guess I used the wrong word to explain it though because you Weight Watchers folks refer to banking as saving points from one day to the next or one week to the next. :)

  4. Ooooh, I understand now. Yeah, I know I shouldn't slack on eating because I know I'm going out to dinner.... But like today, I haven't had breakfast yet...I got up and got the kids out, checked some email and then did my exercise. I'm getting ready to have something soon...so I think I'll probably just have whatever for brunch... Have some fruit with it and I'll snack on that during the day, but I doubt I'll actually eat lunch.
